Saving The Future

Doc hit the button and the time machine transported him to the year 2117. He found himself in an abandoned building, which he exited onto a street full of empty storefronts and broken signs. He noticed a man with an object he didn’t recognize. “Excuse me, sir”, he said.

The man responded, “Shh! Go away! Are you crazy? They’ll see you!”

“Where’s the library?”

The man gave him directions. Doc went to the library, where he discovered what happened. He barely returned to 2017 alive, but committed to changing what he saw.
