Happy New Year

Father Time held the crown he was about to put on the baby. A man in a wheelchair said, “I’m the old year. This has been a brutal year, Junior, and you sadly have a hard journey ahead of you.”

Father Time summoned a group of warriors before putting the crown on the baby’s head. “Everyman, Everywoman”, he said, “Keep him safe.”

On earth, confetti filled the air, people burst into singing “Auld Lang Syne”, fireworks were shot off, effigies of the old year were burned.

The marquees proclaimed:

Good health, peace, and prosperity!
